Some products are so good, I just keep going back to them. I have probably been using this eye makeup remover for around 10 years. No matter what else I try, I just never like it quite as much. It is cheap and easy to find at any local drugstore. This easy to spot blue bottle can be found either in the cosmetics or skincare aisle along with other L’Oreal products. They recently changed the name to Clean Artiste Oil Free Makeup Remover, but it seems to me to be the exact same formula as before. (I think its used to just be called Eye Makeup Remover, in fact, it still is the picture on the L’Oreal Paris website.) I hardly ever use waterproof mascara, which maybe isn’t removed as easily with this formula, but it removes everything else put on my eyes. It leave no residue and doesn’t hurt my eyes at all. Need I say more?
Remove Lovely!
I had the exact opposite experience with this. Maybe they have change the formula? I never write reviews for products, and I o not frequent this site. I was inspired by the poor quality of this makeup remover to seek out a place to write about it. This did not remove my eyemakep well at all, required a lot of rubbing and a lot of remover, which then burned my eyes…a LOT. I do not have sensitive skin or eyes and have never had a problem with burning with any product. So strange, but I will be purchasing another product…..
Thanks for your honest reply. As I often say, makeup (and its removers!) is sooo personal! One mascara may suck to me, but others love it. I have been using this remover for years, and I like that it is not oily, but admittedly it does not get everything off the first time, but I like that it leaves little to no residue. And I definitely don't want to get too much in my eyes, though I've been a contact wearer since I was in 6th grade, so my eyes are pretty tough.
I agree with Kathi. This is one of the worst eye makeup removers I have ever purchased. I bought 2 bottles because of a special at Ulta. It burned and didn't work well. Required lots of product and rubbing (wrinkles ladies) and I have been trying to email the company about how unhappy I am. I have never posted a negative comment about any cosmetic ever, so it must be bad if I took the time. I am going back to Almay cloths in the jar.
To tell you guys the truth, since I wrote this review, I almost never use makeup remover anymore. I just use my face wash to get my eye makeup off. I still buy it occasionally, but it doesn't really seem worth the money.
