Maris Naturals Grapfruit Mimosa Body Crème

I love getting contacted by local brands that are doing something noteworthy and right up my (and this blog’s) ally. Maris Naturals is just that. They are a naturals-based body care line located in the Bay Area. Their website says San Francisco, but their label gives an address in Sonoma county, about 45 minutes north… but we’re not judging. . Maris, which means sea, has beautifully scented bath and body products that use 100% natural essential oils and extract to create a luxurious bathing experience.

I got to try the Grapefruit Mimosa Body Crème, a rich moisturizer perfect for quenching thirsty legs and elbows. The bright happy smell is nice but not over powering. Unlike other body butters that I’ve tried, this creme doesn’t make my legs oily and shiny. It must be because it has orange wax, as well as shea butter, which acts as a protective layer much like on the skin of an orange. It protects your skin from the environment, while still allowing the flow of oxygen and maintaining the essential water balance. I love the packaging, it looks like its from an old, elegant apothecary or something. The other scents sound amazing as well, Bali Vanilla, Eucalyptus, and Fleurs.
