Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Volumizing Products

As with many other parts of my beauty routine, I get stuck in a rut when it comes to my hair care process. I tend to use the same one or two products over and over for months without much variation. Well the people at Nick Chavez Beverly Hills, a salon in LA and now a product line, are helping me branch out. Or at least now I’m rotating three or four products. They were nice enough to send me three great items that are all perfect for my flat, thin, normal-oily (I wash everyday) hair. Each one is a nice size for travel, but I am liking the products so much i might use them up before I get to go anywhere!

thickening-creme_largePlump ‘N Thick Leave-In Thickening Creme Hair Conditioner: Leave-in conditioners have never really done it for me. I love a lot of conditioner and usually they are too light. I actually use this one on top of conditioning in the shower, and all I can tell is that it really does add volume and not weight. Its more like a styling cream than a conditioner.  I use about a dime sized dollop for my shoulder length hair, when its still wet and before I blow dry.The scent is  not offensive or overpowering in the slightest.

FlockerFlocker: This is an awesome styling product. I really can’t say enough about how much i like it. It comes out kind of like mousse but its super light and more like a light water-based foam. I spray it directly on my head in little spots close to my scalp.  Then I rub it all in. It is light enough to use along with the leave-in conditioner and the combo is great. After I blow dry with a round brush, I get awesome volume and texture. I can run my hands through my hair, but it doesn’t just lie there lifeless.

It is good for doing my hair before a night out, but I wouldn’t use it for everyday hair-styling. I am always weary of hairsprays making my locks crunchy. This doesn’t do that, as long as I use a light hand.

Style Lovely!
