You may not think too much about the brushes you use on your hair, but when you have a round brush actually MELT on your bangs (it was seriously traumatizing) you start looking for high quality brushes that you can trust. The guys at BrushLove.com sent me a few to try. Here are my thoughts:

Brushlab-Thermal-Round-Barrel-Hair-Brush-63212Brushlab Ceramic Flow Thermal Round Barrel Hair Brush: I switched to using this brush after my aforementioned tragedy. It is a medium sized round brush that uses ceramic coating on the barrel to help hold the rounded style you want when you blow dry. It doesn’t get caught in my hair or tangle it because the plastic bristles aren’t too dense. The holes in the barrel help keep my hair from getting frizzy. The size of the barrel is perfect for my above the shoulder length hair, but if your hair is longer, it might be a bit small. $11.98

Brushlab-Blueberry-Oval-Cushion-Hairbrush-22711Brushlab Blueberry Oval Cushion Hairbrush: I think you need to have long hair in order to really need a finishing brush. But if your hair needs constant tending and smoothing out, this brush would be great for you. It has a cushy handle for comfort and the bristles really smooth without grabbing. I can think of a number of ladies I know with beautiful long hair that would love this brush. $11.98

Brushlab-Pink-Mirror-Brush-Combo-Hair-Brush-61161Brushlab Pretty Pink Dual Mirror Brush Combo Hair Brush: This is a cute brush that I will most certainly bring on my next trip, especially if I’m camping or going somewhere with a lack of mirrors. This is the type of brush I use every day after a shower, to detangle my hair. Its wide plastic bristle separate the tangles and gets my hair ready for the next steps, product application and blow drying. The back of the brush has a nice big round mirror that you can use to apply makeup, etc. in a pinch. $9.98
