LiQWD Hair Products

I am almost never full satisfied with any hair products that I try. My hair is super fine, flat and invariably straight. So I look for things that will add volume and body – LIFE – to it. Liqwd is a new line of professional hair products that uses nano technology to add volume and moisture to the hair shaft. What does that mean you say? Well, according to their site, they use “microscopic Nano-Hydraspheres™ [which] carry proprietary blends of hydrating and revitalizing ingredients through the outer hair shaft, deep into the all-important cortex layer, where they control-release essential moisture, active nutrients and strengthening compounds.” Sounds very technical huh? Well, I have been using the shampoo, condition and the Volume Catalyst Styler for a few weeks now and I’m moderately impressed. The shampoo and condition smell really nice… a hard to explain, fresh, expensive salon kind of smell (do you get me?!), as does the Volume Catalyst Styling Spray. I like using the Catalyst because it is a liquid so it applies easy and I feel like I get it spread through my roots and hair evenly. As for results, its OK at giving my hair a bit of body, but nothing I’m blown away by. I like volumizers to give my hair a bit more texture, not so much that I can’t put my fingers through it, but some. The catalyst doesn’t give any extra texture, just pumps up the hair shaft a little bit and helps hold the style of the way I blow dry a bit. For those of you with frizzy hair, I bet the smoothing catalyst would do wonders. Let me know if you try it.
