Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden – Matte Genius

I’m at the point where it is virtually impossible for me to apply even the most basic simple eye shadow without a primer. It just feels wrong. It would be like applying foundation before your apply moisturizer or washing your face. Eye shadows just looks so much better with a base! I can’t imagine applying them without a primer (unless they are cream-based). I feel like I’ve written about Urban Decay’s original Primer Potion a few times, and I was  thrilled to try their second shade, Sin, as a shimmery option. But their latest addition to the line is simply genius.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden is the color of concealer and in pinch I would use it as one! It makes your lids completely matte and one tone, a perfect base for just about any eye look. What it is really good for is those dramatic eyeliner looks, where you want clear definition between colors and lines. It helps liquid lines stay put and really shine! I love it for a great winged cat eye look with a black gel liner, or for a fun bright eye with blues and greens for spring. It is a must in any makeup artist (apisering or otherwise!) bag of tricks.
