Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Mascara with Diamonds
Even I am a sucker for a drugstore promo display. Evidenced by my Walgreens purchase of Maybelline’s The Colossal Volume Express Mascara with Diamonds when all I was going in to do was get some cash. It looks like a fun idea, mascara with sparkles! But in execution, it was not fun. I found the formula to be very clumpy and dry. I’m not sure if this was due to the addition of sparkles, since I haven’t tried the original The Colossal Mascara, but it was not pleasant. I tried wearing it two different times, just to give it a chance, but all I got was clumpy lashes and no sparkles in site. Boo. So, needles to say this one goes in the rubbish bin.
Sparkle lovely… but not in your mascara
I disagree. I LOVE this mascara. I have tried them all Expensive AND cheap and this actually gives length, volume and doesn’t crumble halfway throught the day, Plus it sparkles, They are really noticeable in the sunshine! I usually put on two coats. I also wear contactd and have never had a problem with any fallout/crumbles. My only problem now is I went to buy a couple more tubes and sure enough I can’t find any.
I really like the diamond concept of this mascara. But I wish its in waterproof formula bcus it holds the curl of my lashes better when its waterproof. It has a little sparkle but hardly noticeable. WATERPROOF please…
