NARS Sheer Matte Foundation
I have generally steered clear of liquid foundations that aren’t “tinted moisturizers” but as a blogger, I need to be more open and try things that scare me! I’m deathly afraid of looking like one of those girls who wear an inch of foundation that is slightly too orange for there skin tone. Yeck. But I had a chance to try NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and I was pleasantly surprised. It goes on rather sheer, yet nicely evens out my skin. I only use a tiny amount but it covers my whole face. I was shade matched to “Fiji” by a NARS artist, which was very helpful. Nothing worst than getting a full bottle of foundation that is the wrong shade. Its helpful to have someone match it for you, since its hard to see on yourself sometimes what looks good. I used the foundation for the first time the other day when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding, since I knew there would be lots of photos taking, I wanted my skin to look even. It held up nicely through the night and my skin looked good in the pictures. I’ve used it since, though I have been mixing it with some moisturizer, to get an even sheerer look. It looks quite nice, though I feel like I need some powder later in the day for shine, but that happens pretty normally to me. It’s definitely not cheap, at $42 for 1.3oz but I feel like it will last me a long time since I use so little.
Matte Lovely!

Beth-what a great review! I have actually been rethinking my devotion to powder foundations lately and have been researching liquid foundations for a more natural, dewy look. Would you convert or are you still a loyal powder foundation wearer?
