Vi Derm Vitamin C 20% Gel – Smooth and Silky!

I’m definitely a fan of using serums, but other than acne-fighting ones, I don’t really know much about them or what else they can do. Well I have found a new serum that I love, and although I am not sure I see a whole lot of difference in my skin, after only a few weeks, I would recommend trying it purely because of how nice it feels. Vi Derm Vitamin C 20% Gel is super nice to put on. It feels like soft, silky silicone, but its just a gel based Vitamin C concentrate. Unlike the typical ascorbic acid form of vitamin C, this formula (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) doesn’t exfoliate or irritate your skin. It is a very stable, oil-soluble Vitamin C Ester which has anti-oxidant properties. Using it is supposed to relieve the damaging effects of UV exposure. According to the brand, studies have shown it to stimulate collagen production as well as clarify and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) thereby promoting a more even skin tone. I am all about this since I get acne scars sometimes and have some sun damage from getting sunburned as a kid. If you need a good anti-aging serum, this would be one to try. It feels so soft, your moisturizer and makeup will just glide on top, after you give it a few minutes to absorb.
