Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow / Liner

tarte clay eyelinerAt this point I only use pencil eyeliners when I’m lazy or rushed. When I am taking time and putting care into my makeup look, I only use gel or pot eyeliners. I just love the way you can control the look so completely with the brush. The newest on in my makeup holster (if you will) is Tarte’s EmphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow/liner. I got to try it in brown, which was good, since I only had brown pencils. The brush it came with (pictured) was phenomenal and the liner one of the best I’ve tried. I use the super fine pointed side of the brush to get the detail I want and then if I’m going for a more natural, smokey look, I use the wide short side to blend and smudge. It is a little drier than most of the gel liners I have, which makes it easier to apply and it doesn’t take as long to dry, yet it still can be smudged, as long as you do it right after application. Wait a minute and it won’t budge.

Eye Lovely!
