I’m pretty much anti all things vanilla, especially perfumes with vanilla in them. Yuck! Sickly sweet, it reminds me of cheap perfumes little kids and strippers wear. So I was certain I would hate this new scent by Pacifica. But I was wrong! I love it, it is going into my current rotation.
Pacifica’s new scent Island Vanilla is a fresh take on a fragrance classic, it spotlights the unique character of Tahitian vanilla. It is a sweet and sultry vanilla that has honey-jasmine floral notes and a touch of fruitiness. They set this against a deep and beautiful base of tea notes.
I got to try the straight up perfume but Island Vanilla Soy and Pillar candles come in a lush and vibrant pink. I think this would make a really nice home fragrance too. Pacifica candles are super high quality and burn very clean. It also comes in reed diffusers and bar soaps.
And for the earth month part: Pacifica products are always free of phthalates, parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, mineral oils, GMOs, triclosan, propylene glycol, petroleum and artificial color. They don’t use animal testing and they are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Plus a portion of the proceeds from all Island Vanilla product sales will go to benefit Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society.
The new collection is available at PacificaPerfume.com as well as Whole Foods Markets and other national retailers.
