My Weekend Manicure by butter LONDON and my review of their new LIPPIES

I needed a mani that would really get me in the spring mood this Easter weekend, and butter LONDON’s new Collection of LIPPY colors and their matching nail laquers were just what the doc called for.

LIPPY by butter LONDON is their first foray into the lip world. LIPPY is a range of long-wearing, lacquer-like lip glosses in shades to match our famous nail lacquers.

Like the butter LONDON nail lacquers, LIPPY colors are rich and heavily pigmented for a look that is deliberate, high fashion, and luxe. LIPPY does not contain parabens, petroleum, phthalates, sulphates, or bismuth. But boy are they sticky!

The darker color is called “Trout Pout”, a opaque cantaloupe, and the lighter shade is called “Teddy Girl”, a pale, retro bubblegum.

The LIPPIES are very very thick and glossy. I find Teddy Girl a bit too light to wear, but Trout Pout, with the right makeup or outfit is quite pretty. I took a picture of it on my lips, see how glossy?! It is very much like a lacquer and you have to be careful when reapplying that it doesn’t build up in the insides of your lips. But so so very shiny!

Lippy Lovely!
