Let your wild side out with Japonesque’s Safari Chic Brush Collection

I am guilty of not cleaning my makeup brushes enough. Aren’t we all?! I also am guilty of using the same brushes for YEARS. So when I got the opportunity to try Japonesque’s new animal print brushes, I jumped. My brush collection was looking pretty sad, but now it has liven right up!

The Japonesque Safari Chic Brush Collection includes:

Safari Chic Brush Set ($29.95)– This trio includes three must-have brushes, a Powder Brush, Shadow Brush and Crease Brush. Handmade using synthetic hair, each brush is designed for flawless, plush makeup application. A microfiber case holds these brushes and protects them, making it ideal to take with you to have wherever you need a quick touch-up.

I got to try this set and I was pleasantly surprised. Of course they look cool, but they also apply makeup really well! The synthetic fibers are super soft and although the shadow brushes are a little bigger than the ones I am used to, they apply my shadows well and picked up lots of pigment and helped to spread it evenly.

Safari Chic Bronzer Brush ($22) – Create a perfectly luminous complexion with this extra-soft, dome-shaped brush. Featuring the same animal print bristles as the Safari Chic Brush Set, the pro Bronzer Brush ensures expert application of bronzers, luminizers and shimmer powders every time. I wasn’t able to try out this brush, but it sounds amazing and I’ve heard MUAs rave about Japonesque’s bronzer brush before, so I am sure this is a great one.

Both will be available for sale around May/June 2012. For more information please visit: japonesque.com.

Safari Lovely!

Hi. I would like to ask you help to decide which is the best for me, the set or the individual brush. Do you think that powder brush in the set is also suitable for applying bronzer and powder blush or this is just for face fixing powder? Thank you so much for your help!

This set is really just for travel. The brushes included are rather small. I would say the bronzer brush could be used for powder as well, but I haven't seen it with my own eyes to know for sure. I use a "powder" brush for my bronzer anyways… so use whatever works best for you, don't worry about the name of it!
