Sometimes you have to think outside of the box. Just becuase it says “for curly hair” on the label, doesn’t mean it won’t do amazing things for my crazy, stick straight hair!
I got sent a bunch of White Sands products to try, and among them was White Sands Curl Up in Silk Firm Mousse. The description is “White Sands Curl Up in Silk Firm Hold Mousse provides a different type of curl pattern. The chemical molecular structure of the ingredients causes the hairs to group together and rope over each other.” Huh? Well, I figured I’d give it a shot, see if if worked similarly to other mousses I’ve used that have given me great volume and a bit of texture.
And I was right! White Sands Curl Up in Silk Firm Mousse is light enough that it doesn’t weigh down my fine hair, but it gives a nice amount of “big” to my look. I run it through my wet hair and then blow dry with a round brush, for voluminous locks that last all day. And it smells nice, like all the other white sands products, with a light scent of orchid oil.
So, moral of the story is, don’t always listen to the label, try it out for yourself before you discount anything not made for your hair type.
