Summery Asian Inspired Scents from Kilian Hennessy

I got the chance to review some Kilian fragrances a few years back and they left a lasting impression for sure. So agreeing to sample some new Kilian scents was a no brainer.

These scents at not your ordinary fragrances, they exclude luxury and individuality. Never again will you be caught wearing the same perfume as someone else in the room.

Kilian Hennessy‘s newest collection of fragrances are called Asian Tales. The collection consists of two scents, Bamboo Harmony and Water Calligraphy. They are gorgeous, light scents that are ideal for summer. They are unisex as well.

Bamboo Harmony is a beautiful scent, just not for me. Its a bit too heavy and earthy for my taste but I’m sure others will love it. I can definitely see this being unisex as well. Here are the notes:

Top Notes
Bergamot, Neroli, Orange bigarade

Middle Notes
White tea leaves, Mimosa, Spices

Base Notes
Maté, Fig leaves, Oakmoss

Water Calligraphy on the other hand is right up my scent alley. It is a beautiful clean, fresh fragrance that I can see using throughout the summer for a cool and clean alternative to my usual floral-based scents. Here are its notes:

Top Notes
Grapefruit zest, Reseda Blossom, Water Lily

Middle Notes
Jasmine Sambac, Magnolia,

Base Notes
Cardamom and Vetiver

Only down side? These scents are NOT cheap. Water Calligraphy and Bamboo Harmony are $225 each for 1.7 oz bottle its refillable (refill cost $125). They are available online at both Bergdorf Goodman and Saks.

Scent Lovely!
