Sampler Box Review: Glossybox June 2012 Summer Beauty Sample Box
is definitely one of the more expensive sampler boxes out there at $21 each, but I rather like this edition of it. I enjoyed almost every single piece in fact, unlike last month's
which I wasn't too crazy about.
Most of the products in this month's Glossybox
were sample sizes, but some were more like travel sizes that I will keep for trips and the best was the full sized mascara that is actually really awesome. I am giving this box a thumbs up for value and product choices.
BEAUTYADDICTS SHOW-OFF MASCARA: This full sized black mascara is going in my regular rotation. Its curved brush allows me to get each and every lash coated. The brush does come out of the tube with a little too much product on it, but I found when I wipe off the brush on the side of the bottle or on a tissue and its the perfect amount. The formula doesn't smudge or fall and even just got through a 60 minute sweaty yoga class. Sold! $20 (box included full size)
FIRST AID BEAUTY FAB SMOOTH SHAVE CREAM: This was a perfectly sized sample to throw in your bag for a weekend away this summer. Love it, made my shave super close and smooth. I would buy this product again and I've heard of this brand, since they are carried in my waxing place ($7,50, included full size).
KINERASE RESTRUCTURE FIRMING CREAM: This was probably my least favorite sample in the box. It kind of smelled funny and was such a small sample I can't imagine more that 3 or 4 uses could come out of it. Next! ($98 for full size, not included)
SHEA TERRA ORGANICS WHIPPED SHEA BUTTER BODY CREME: This was another fav that I can totally see myself taking on a weekend trip. I love body butter for most shaving moisture, This one is really unique because, to me, it smells like pistachios. Yum! love it. ($18 for full size, not included)
WELLA ENRICH MOISTURIZING TREATMENT: This tiny little pot of hair cream was nice enough for me, but my hair doesn't need too much extra moisture. I didn't leave it in, just used it as a regular conditioner. I liked how it made my hair feel but wasn't blown away. ($12 for full size, not included)
A PERFUME ORGANIC, URBAN ORGANIC: I was not a a fan of this perfume sample. It did not smell yummy to be at all. Kind of bitter and just not good. Oh well, can't win em all. ($65 for full size, not included).
Overall, I thing this Glossybox
was worth the $21, for the mascara, the shaving cream and the hair conditioner at the very least. Not to mention the pretty pink box and black ribbon they use. Gotta love good packaging.
